Top Result for Jorden Dolischka in Italy

Rounds 5 and 6 of the Italian GT4 Championship at the Mugello Circuit turned into a real battle against the heat. With cockpit temperatures well above 60 degrees Celsius, the 21-year-old Austrian delivered her strongest performance in GT racing so far. Together with Swiss driver Noah Massa, with whom she shares the Porsche Cayman GT4 in the one-hour races, she celebrated a sixth-place finish in Saturday’s race.

“The start went really well. For once, we managed to get through without any collisions and were able to make good progress,” Dolischka said.

In qualifying, where the gaps between the drivers were extremely close, Dolischka initially secured 10th place. In Saturday’s one-hour race, she worked her way up the order after the start and handed over the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport to her Swiss teammate Noah Massa after half an hour in sixth position. Massa brought the car home in sixth place, marking a personal season-best result for the pair in the GT4 Italy Series.

“That is an incredible result for us as rookies,” Jorden said after the race.

The pair were also the highest-placed non-Italian duo in the standings. Jorden added: “It was the first circuit where I had at least been able to do a short test beforehand. You are simply more relaxed then and can find your rhythm much more quickly.”

The Alex Fontana Academy duo confirmed their strong form again on Sunday. With an eighth-place finish, Dolischka and Massa once again secured valuable points in the Pro-Am classification.

The late starting time and extreme heat placed particularly high demands on all the drivers.

“We had to wait in the heat all day until the race finally got underway. That really took its toll on our energy levels,” said Dolischka, who was born in Vorarlberg.

After the summer break in August, the final stretch of the season gets underway in September. The remaining races will take place at Imola from September 4–6 and Monza from October 9–11.
