GT4 Debutant Jorden Dolischka Immediately on the Pace

GT rookie Jorden Dolischka (21) was immediately on the pace during her first appearance at the circuit near Rome. The Austrian, who now lives in Burgenland, is sharing the cockpit of a Porsche Cayman GT4 with Swiss driver Noah Massa this season.

While Noah finished his qualifying session in 11th place, Jorden secured a stronger eighth position. Noah made a very good start to the opening race. However, while Jorden was preparing in the pits for her stint, Noah was involved in a costly accident.

“The ABS failed, the steering wheel was noticeably out of alignment and both wheels on the right-hand side were damaged,” Jorden said, describing the condition of the car.

At least the two damaged wheels could be replaced by Jorden’s Alex Fontana Racing team during the driver change. Dolischka refused to let the handicap slow her down and even managed to move up to seventh place despite the damaged car.

“It’s a shame because a top-five result would definitely have been possible, but that’s part of motorsport as well.”

In the second race, it was Jorden’s turn to take the start. Initially, Dolischka was able to stay with the leading group, but this time she was hit by another competitor. Through no fault of her own, she was forced into the gravel, but managed to continue and immediately began fighting her way back through the field.

“During another overtaking manoeuvre, a competitor who was considerably slower than me drove into my car. I was hit from the left and had to leave the track again.”

Once again, she kept her composure and managed to bring the car safely back to the pits for the driver change. In the end, the pair finished ninth in a fiercely contested race.

“We learned a lot. After all, it was only my second GT race. I showed that I have the speed and the courage to fight. Apart from the collisions, there is a lot of potential, and that is what I am taking with me as a positive into the next race weekend.”

There, another new circuit awaits the former karting champion: Mugello in Tuscany, the famous Ferrari-owned circuit and traditional venue on the MotoGP calendar.

GT4-Debütantin Jorden Dolischka auf Anhieb schnell

Beim zweiten Rennen zur italienischen GT4-Meisterschaft in Vallelunga schnupperte die österreichische Rennfahrerin Jorden Dolischka erstmals an den Spitzenrängen.

GT-Rookie Jorden Dolischka (21 Jahre) war bei ihrer Premiere auf der Rennstrecke nahe Rom auf Anhieb schnell. Die Wahl-Burgenländerin teilt sich in dieser Saison das Cockpit eines Porsche Cayman GT4 mit dem Schweizer Noah Massa. Während Noah sein Qualifying auf Platz 11 beendete, konnte Jorden mit Platz 8 besser abschneiden. Noah begann das erste Rennen mit einem sehr guten Start. Doch während sich Jorden in der Box für ihren Einsatz bereitmachte, kam es zu einem folgenreichen Rennunfall Noahs: „Das ABS ist ausgefallen, das Lenkrad stand ziemlich schief und auf der rechten Seite waren beide Felgen beschädigt“, berichtet Jorden über die Schäden am Auto. Zumindest die beiden kaputten Räder konnten von Jordens Team „Alex Fontana Racing“ beim Fahrerwechsel noch getauscht werden. Dolischka ließ sich von diesem Handicap nicht bremsen und schaffte es mit dem beschädigten Fahrzeug sogar noch, auf Rang sieben nach vorne zu fahren: „Schade, es wären sicher die Top-5 möglich gewesen, aber das gehört im Motorsport eben auch dazu …“

Im zweiten Rennen war nun Jorden an der Reihe, das Rennen zu eröffnen. Zunächst hielt Dolischka mit der Spitzengruppe mit, doch diesmal bekam sie einen Schubser. Unschuldig ging es für sie durchs Kiesbett – doch Jorden konnte weiterfahren und startete prompt eine Aufholjagd: „Bei einem weiteren Überholmanöver ist mir dann eine Gegnerin, die deutlich langsamer war als ich, ins Auto gefahren. Ich habe von links einen Rempler bekommen und musste erneut die Strecke verlassen.“ Doch ein weiteres Mal behielt sie die Nerven und konnte das Auto immerhin noch heil zum Fahrerwechsel bringen. Am Ende wurde es der neunte Platz in einem umkämpften Rennen: „Wir haben viel gelernt. Es war immerhin erst mein zweites GTRennen. Ich habe gezeigt, dass ich den Speed habe und den Mut zu kämpfen. Abgesehen von den Kollisionen ist viel Potenzial da, das nehme ich positiv ins nächste Rennwochenende mit.“ Dort wartet erneut eine neue Strecke auf die ehemalige Kart-Meisterin: die bekannte FerrariStrecke und traditioneller MotoGP-Circuit Mugello in der Toskana.
